ETTs HAVE NO JOBS IN HIMACHAL PRADESH

With regards, we want to appeal you to initiate the process of amendment in the recruitment and promotion laws made for elementary teachers. As Himachal Pradesh has implemented the system of Elementary Education, it should give opportunity to the ETTs to get job at elementary level in context of equivalent opportunity to JBTs in Himachal Pradesh. As most of the candidates have done ETT from J&K or Punjab, the course should be made recognized by the state government because they have done the course during the time when there was no ETT course available in the state level in HP and its need was just realized for implementation of the Elementary Education system. It was a great mistake in the implementation of the Elementary Education system that no ETT trained teachers were recruited in the system and no training was given to the existing JBTs/TGTs for its implementation. At that time, no JBT batch was sitting due to regular cancellation of JBT Entrance Exams. Hence, it was a hard time for unemployed youths seeking opportunity of employment in HP. The course of ETT was offered by J&K Board of School Education and Punjab Board of School Education on the basis of norms sattled by NCTE. As per the NCTE Circular no 49/21/2005 NCTE(N&S) date 31st May,2007, the candidates obtaining degree from Jammu shall be eligible for employment in Central Govt. or other states. Punjab Govt. Notification no. 10/6/2002-3E.7/7825 Date 01.04.2003 has done similar works regarding full implementation of Elementary Education by promoting ETT. Now, we want to say that our policy was initiated by state govt. in year 2007 but it is still incomplete. JBTs have been now appointed by the state govt. but we are in danger due to lack of notification about our recruitment and recognition of ETT course in HP in context of outside states for the duration of 6 years i. e. 2003-2008. The conditions for this job must be equal to JBT and we can be appointed under the rules to be fixed by the state govt. Please ensure a notification about job for ETTs in HP and clarify that govt. will recognize the same course ETT in future not to be done from the govt./pvt. institutions outside HP to avoid wastage of time and money of youths in the state. But provide us the justice by ensuring our appointments against vacant JBT posts in future.
